Do I need to do Insanity everyday?

The launch of Insanity at Wellington Academy in Ludgershall, Tidworth went really well last Wednesday, 23 hard working participants turned up and pushed themselves to the max!

I have been asked the same question by a few people, which is, ‘do I have to do Insanity everyday to get the benefits?’

The answer is, ‘no’. I think this question has come about, as most people have seen the infomercials, or even done the 60 day challenge for themselves at home already. The Insanity LIVE classes are very similar to the main bulk of the home workouts, lead by Shaun T. But what you will find with the DVD challenge, is that not everyday is high intensity interval training, which is the main thing insanity is known for. One day a week is rest, one day recovery, and one day cardio and abs. This leaves a maximum of 4 days a week of intense interval training.

Don’t get me wrong, the more exercise you do, will mean you get better and faster results, but it is also good for your body to have different forms of exercise. The home DVD challenge covers a few different areas of exercise, which is great for those who don’t do anything else. Plus adding in the fact it is 6 days a week to help you get into a routine of it, keep you focused, and also making it intense. As the Insanity challenge markets itself for being the most extreme home work out ever.

I personally recommend doing Insanity twice a week, and also mix in a rest day, flexibility training, and some other form of exercise. If you are already doing many other forms of exercise then once a week would be enough for you. Keep fit should be fun, so keeping things varied helps the mind focus better, thus meaning you continue on for longer, and getting the maximum results you can.

Launch 2014 Classes are on weekly at Wellington Academy Sports Centre, come and train insane with me, Jolene on Tuesdays at 8.30pm, Wednesdays at 6pm and Saturdays at 9am, call/text 07961 054 863 to book your space.

Train INSANE With Me!!! New INSANITY Classes in Spring 2014!

Train INSANE with JoleneYay!! I am so excited!! I completed my INSANITY Instructor training with Beach Body yesterday. The first part of out training was to take part in a real INSANITY class, which was so tough, but we all felt like Rockstars at the end of it!

By the end of this week I would have completed the 60 INSANITY DVD Challenge, and the changes so far to my fitness level and my abs definition, has given me motivation to keep pushing myself. The beauty of INSANITY, is that it doesn’t matter what your fitness level, everyone can push themselves to the max. You may be able to do 30 jumps, you may only be able to do 2, but the point is the same for everyone, to push hard and get results.

I started the 60 day challenge this year, as i wanted something I could do at home, that would challenge me, along with being something I hadn’t done before. On starting the challenge, I had no idea I would end up going on Instructor training, but the opportunity came along, and I wanted to share it more.

I have become very passionate about INSANITY, how it makes you feel, and what it can do for your body. I used to struggle getting up in the mornings, but now i bounce out of bed 90 minutes earlier than i used to, and can’t wait to get on with it! I think it has given me determination to push myself in other areas of my life, INSANITY is so tough, that whenever I complete a workout, I feel as though I can take on the world… well after a shower and re-fuel 😉

I am looking into start dates for this gem of a workout, so either contact me through the website to register your interest, or sign up to the mailing list. I am looking to run classes in Andover, Ludgershall/Tidworth and Basingstoke.

Tidworth, Wiltshire

These pole dance classes have now moved to the Purity Dance and Fitness Studio in Andover, Hampshire. Come and learn to spin, invert, sit and dance on the pole with Jolene, who is Miss Pole Dance UK finalist for 2008, one of the UK’s longest established instructors. She has danced in many towns and the City of London.

This is one of the most addictive ways to keep fit!

Aerial Hoop Classes are coming to Andover in 2014!

I am very excited to announce that I have found a fantastic venue for teaching Aerial Hoop classes!

The location will be in Ludgershall, a few minutes down the road from Andover. I will soon be organising an intro day, and will most likely put up some poles as well as the hoop for people to come and try out.

If you are already having lessons with Purity, then your second course will have a discount.

Aerial Hoop is a great workout, but also fun. It will make you feel like a kid on a swing in a playground when you first start… actually that feeling never quite goes! 🙂

You are welcome to contact me through the website if you would like to be the first to find out when I start these lessons.
